On Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences and the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the increase of responsibility for violation of fire and technogenic safety requirements
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed the Law “On introducing amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the increase of responsibility for violation of fire and technogenic safety requirements”.
According to the document, violations of fire and technogenic safety will be punishable by a fine of 100 to 300 untaxed minimum incomes of citizens. Violations resulting in accidents and caused injury to people or damage to property will be prosecuted and fined from 1000 to 4020 untaxed minimum incomes of citizens. If such actions led to the death of people or property damage on a large scale, there will be imprisonment for up to eight years.
In addition, the Head of State signed the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences regarding the establishment of liability for obstructing inspections of fire and anthropogenic safety. This Law stipulates responsibility for obstructing the activities of authorized officials in the field of fire and technogenic safety related to the conduct of inspections.
